Faith Integration: Students can learn a wide range of skills, all taught from a Biblical perspective.
Convenient: Our program is primarily online, perfect for busy working adults. Most courses last eight weeks, creating an optimized and efficient learning environment. Students are assigned an academic advisor who walks alongside them to help every student succeed.
Internship: When students are in their final semester, they will complete an internship that will provide them with experience to put on their resume when seeking employment after graduation.

Preview of Courses

HMS 3610 - Human Services Ethics

This course examines from a Christian perspective the basic ethical dilemmas and problems that arise in the practice of human services professions. The impact of ethics and values on leadership in human services will be addressed.

HMS 4555 - Human Services Internship

With the consultation and supervision of a faculty member, the student will engage in a planned and supervised practical experience in a human services field. The practicum is designed for students in their junior or senior year.

PSY 3542 - Methods of Counseling

Designed to teach interviewing and basic counseling skills, this course is practice-oriented. The application of counseling theory and interpersonal dynamics to the counseling process will be explained. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of skills which will enable the student to establish, guide the session, and define the nature of the problem and goals for change, while monitoring the essential components of the counseling relationship.

How does online education work?

Online education uses digital technology and the internet to deliver educational content. Our courses are built to be 8-week courses. Students can access lectures, assignments, and resources through our online platform, Canvas. Communication with instructors and peers often occurs through discussion forums, video conferencing, and email.

What technology and equipment do I need for online classes?

Requirements may vary, but generally, students need a reliable computer and internet connection.

How do online exams and assessments work?

Online exams and assessments can take various forms, including multiple-choice quizzes, essays, and timed exams. Most classes utilize discussion posts each week, due every Thursday. All of these are available on our online program Canvas.

Will my credits transfer?

We generally accept credits from accredited institutions as long as the student maintained a C or higher in the course. To see a full list of what classes will transfer, you can visit Transferology or contact our registrar office at registrar@crown.edu.

What Financial Aid Options Are Available?
