Bachelor of Science in Sport Management

School of Business

The Business Behind the Game

Most sport majors focus on coaching or performance. This one covers the whole business of sport — sales, marketing, psychology, facilities and finance, and law and governance. Anchored by a six-credit internship, it’s one of the largest field placements in the School of Business.

Built for students who want to lead in athletics, recreation, or sport ministry with both business competence and Christian character.

Why This Major? Learn the full industry of sport vs. one slice:

Heart of the Major

Explore the business, leadership, and operations behind successful sport organizations. Develop essential skills, personalize your education, and graduate with practical experience and career-ready confidence.

Double the Standard

Most majors require one internship course. This degree requires two semesters of field experience, giving you far more time in a real sport organization before you graduate.

Dallas Gonzales

Practitioner Faculty, Sport Management

Professor Gonzales is one of Crown’s business instructors who has actually worked inside sport and athletics organizations, not just studied them from a textbook.

He motivates students to see sport organizations the way a business leader does, and guides them in a Christian view of leadership and service.

“Sport reveals character fast — in the athlete, the coach, and the administrator. Our job is to prepare you to lead well in that spotlight, not just manage the schedule.”
