Minnesota PSEO Programs

Crown College offers a variety of ways for Minnesota high school juniors and seniors to get early college coursework done. From on-campus students to commuters, from online to homeschool co-ops, we have a program that will fit you. Discover more about your programs and find out how Crown can set you up for success.

Why On-Campus PSEO at Crown College?

The Postsecondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) is a state-funded program that allows high school juniors and seniors to complete high school requirements at the college level. Crown’s PSEO Program provides a quality and convenient way for academically advanced high school students to meet their high school requirements and get a head start on a college education, supported by a Christ-centered community.

Students who want a traditional college experience can apply to our on-campus program.  Crown admits 70 on-campus PSEO students.

Commuter Program

For Minnesota high school juniors or seniors who have earned a minimum of a 3.25 GPA. Many students in this program enroll part-time, so the challenge of balancing high school and PSEO commitments at Crown needs to be considered. Students must provide their own transportation.

Residential Program

PSEO students who are at least 17 years old and meet the on-campus entrance requirements may live on Crown’s campus.  They live in the dorms, participate in student life and take classes much like regular freshmen. (Please note: Room and board is not covered by the State of Minnesota and is the responsibility of the student.)

Why choose online PSEO at Crown?

  • 100% online classes are flexible and convenient; do work when convenient for you
  • Courses are easy to navigate
  • Attentive & responsive professors
  • An advisor who serves as the student’s advocate
  • Small class size
  • Free classes and textbooks for MN residents

For Minnesota high school juniors or seniors who have earned a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and want to get a head start on their education. Students in this program are in online asynchronous classes with other PSEO students in dynamic virtual classrooms. The classroom is available to students 24-7 and most classes have no set meeting time.

Along with free tuition and class fees, PSEO students receive free textbooks from Crown. This puts students in a position of financial success in their academic pursuits. Information about obtaining books will be emailed prior to the start of the semester.

Our PSEO program is a great way for high school students to transition into college. They are encouraged to apply to Crown College — on-campus or online — after they graduate high school.

Our off-campus PSEO options, including our online, high school hybrid, and homeschool hybrid options do not require a faith statement and will not be affected by the pending PSEO legislation.

Why Crown PSEO through your homeschool co-op?

Crown partners with homeschool co-ops in Minnesota to provide hybrid courses that combine instruction from Crown’s online professors and face-to-face instruction and tutoring support from course assistants at your co-op. Please see a list of partner co-ops below. If you are a homeschooler who is not part of one of these co-ops, check out our online program or ask your co-op leader to contact dualenroll@crown.edu to explore partnership possibilities.

Students in Minnesota save money by taking these classes for free! (The cost is just $85/credit for those living outside of Minnesota.) To qualify for this program, students must be a high school junior or senior and have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

Through Crown’s PSEO partnerships students get individualize support at their co-ops while they earn transferable college credits and demonstrate their college-level ability.

Our off-campus PSEO options, including our online, high school hybrid, and homeschool hybrid options do not require a faith statement and will not be affected by the pending PSEO legislation.

List of Homeschool Partners

Why Crown PSEO through your high school?

Crown’s high school partnerships give students easy access to college courses right in their own high school classrooms. We have designed these partnerships with distinct advantages for students at Christian high schools.

  • Stay in your school: There’s no need to travel to a nearby college.
  • Stay in your activities: There’s still time to participate in your favorite activities and college won’t conflict with your schedule.
  • Stay out of debt: Save money by earning college credit for free.
  • Stay on track: Complete your high school graduation requirements while getting a head start on college.

If you are a high schooler who is not part of one of these schools, check out our online program or ask your high school teacher/principal to contact dualenroll@crown.edu to explore partnership possibilities.

Our off-campus PSEO options, including our online, high school hybrid, and homeschool hybrid options do not require a faith statement and will not be affected by the pending PSEO legislation.
