Crown’s B.A. degree in Pastoral Leadership provides excellent preparation for immediate career placement or graduate/seminary programs in ministry, Bible, or theology.

As a student, you will also have internship opportunities to gain practical real-world ministry experience through the Pastoral Leadership degree program. You will also have the option of pursuing a concentration in Greek to get ahead of the game for graduate or seminary work.

Preview of Courses

BIB 231 - Principles of Biblical Interpretation

This course is designed to help the student master fundamental lexical, grammatical, and historical-cultural principles needed to interpret Scripture. It concludes with guidance in how to apply Scripture to contemporary life and problems. This course should not be taken in addition to BIB 210 Methods of Bible Study.

PRC 445 - Variety in Biblical Preaching

This course builds upon concepts gained in PRC 332. The unique features of this course include study in preaching various types of biblical texts, sermon methods, and preparing for variety in speaking contexts. Students study their presentations on videotape and receive evaluation from peers and the instructor.

PST 324 - Pastoral Theory and Practice

This course considers the relational context of ministry, emphasizing ways to work effectively with persons in the church, as well as the responsibilities of the pastor in worship, prayer, evangelism, member care, weddings, funerals and administering the ordinances.

Our faculty to student ratio is 17:1. We intentionally aim to keep our class sizes small. This allows us to maintain academic excellence and strong relationships between faculty and students. At Crown College, every student is a person and not just another number.
