(St. Bonifacius, MN) – Thanks to the generosity of Dale and Susan Teal, Crown College is moving forward with a major transformation of the Teal Athletic Center entrance, including extensive interior and exterior upgrades.
Architectural plans have recently been completed and offer an exciting preview of the project. “The renovation will bring a completely refreshed atmosphere to this area,” said Crown College President Andrew C. Denton. “It’s going to look like a completely new space.” The renderings showcase the modernization of this active entry point for many guests of the college.
The upgrade to this area, constructed in 2001, will include a renovated corridor, flooring, ceilings, lighting and restrooms as well as athletic branding and significantly enhanced exterior landscaping. “We’re also creating a great photo spot that will be used by countless students,” said President Denton.
Collaborating with St. Paul architectural company BWBR, President Denton, the Teals and Cabinet members Steve Tebbs and Brian Schwarz recently approved the final version of the project renderings.
Excitement will continue to build throughout the academic year as the project will start right after Commencement in May and is scheduled to be complete at the end of next summer. Following completion of the renovation, a special ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held during the 2026 Homecoming celebration.
President Denton expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to invest in Crown’s future. “Over the past four years, we’ve been able to complete more than $22 million in major projects. I believe this is a clear sign of God’s blessing and His desire for Crown to continue thriving as the Midwest’s boldly Christian college.”
