Counseling Students Visit Uganda

In late October 2024, Crown online students, guided by Dr. Cathy Sigmund, faculty member of the Master of Arts in Counseling program, visited the Nakivale Resettlement Camp in Uganda—Africa’s largest refugee-hosting country. The students participated in the Global Refugee Care Conference and ministered to thousands of displaced individuals residing in the camp. The experience was profoundly impactful, and we are excited to announce plans to offer this mission trip again in fall 2025. Stay tuned for more details in upcoming communications from Crown College.

Missing your 1098T form?

The 1098T forms are scheduled to be mailed the end of January. Students should give it a couple of days to a week to reach them. If they do not receive one after that time, you can contact the Billing office directly via email (billing@crown.edu) and request a copy of your 1098T Tax form.

If you know 11th or 12th graders in your friend and family circles who might be interested in getting a jumpstart on their education by taking college courses while they are still in high school, please ask them to contact dualenroll@crown.edu.  Crown’s dual enrollment program is specially priced at just $90/credit for students outside of Minnesota.  Minnesota residents can take classes for FREE!!

SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress)

Federal regulations require that all financial aid recipients progress at a reasonable rate (“make satisfactory progress”) toward achieving a certificate or degree. This requirement applies to all terms regardless of whether or not the student received financial aid. Progress is measured by

  1. Student’s cumulative grade point average
  2. The number of credits earned in relation to those attempted (must be at 67% or higher)
  3. The maximum time frame allowed to complete the academic program

For more details on each of these items, please see the Financial Aid information located in the Crown College catalog.
