Professional Focus and/or Research Agenda

As a filmmaker, I strive to tell stories that explore what it means to be fully human in an often-dehumanizing world. My work blends the narrative ambiguity of the arthouse with the propulsive plotting of the multiplex—creating space for audiences to engage and draw their own conclusions.

At Crown College, I help students craft meaningful films to professional standards—through emotionally grounded screenwriting, cinematic visual storytelling, and dynamic on-set collaboration. My wife and I also co-run a production company focused on short-form narrative content.

Faith Statement

As a Christian, I believe that God created humans in His image and entrusted us with the gift of creativity. As Christian filmmakers, we have a responsibility to develop our craft to a high level, so we can tell compelling stories that communicate truth effectively.
Likewise, critical engagement with well-made films (and other visual content) develops our analytical skills and deepens our ability to be discerning about the media we consume and create.
Finally, by prioritizing ethical conduct in all aspects of production—treating collaborators with respect, ensuring fair working conditions, and committing to honest storytelling—we foster a positive and productive working environment that reflects our core values.
