Student Success
Academic Student Success Services
New and experienced students alike are learning the importance of connection.
Our Student Development Office has a dedicated position to assist students throughout the year. The Coordinator of Student Success gladly meets with students and connects them with various campus resources. The services in this role are designed to increase academic success and build community.
Advising
Every student is assigned their own personal Academic Advisor. This advisor will assist students in creating a graduation degree plan and provide oversight throughout their time as a student. These advisors have expertise in their specific areas in connecting students to career advancement.
Writing Lab
The Writing Lab offers open hours for students who would like additional assistance with no appointment required.
The assistants working in the Writing Lab have been selected based upon their high academic performance, ability to work with others, and completion of courses in which they are providing assistance. The tutors regularly work with professors to provide students assistance with the most recent materials and information being covered in class.
Study Spaces
Having a place to study is important for every student. Whether you prefer a quiet setting or a busy one, there are several areas to study around campus. The library, collaboration center, student center, residence halls, courtyard, and Sherburne Avenue coffee shop all serve to provide students a setting to study.
Disability Services
Crown College seeks to provide a positive educational experience for all of our students. We strive to assist and encourage students to achieve their fullest potential. In compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Crown College does not discriminate against students with disabilities. Every effort is made to arrange effective and reasonable accommodations for qualified students. Students who would like to receive accommodation must provide appropriate and up-to-date documentation from a qualified professional.
Since each individual may have varied and specific needs, based upon their own unique disability, it is recommended that students meet with the Director of Disability Services, Dr. Tom McCracken upon arrival at our campus. Simply email Dr. McCracken at mccrackent@crown.edu.
Watne Library
The Watne Memorial Library provides more than 100,000 volumes and dozens of online databases. We offer language resources, laptops, camera equipment, and more. Many find our library a one-stop-shop for your academic needs.
