Dr. Michelle Bethke-Kaliher is a highly experienced educator with over 35 years in the field of education, specializing in special education, educational leadership, and psychology. With a comprehensive academic background and a passion for teaching, Dr. Bethke-Kaliher has dedicated her career to advancing educational practices, particularly for students with diverse learning needs.
Dr. Michelle Bethke-Kaliher holds a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation with a specialization in Special Education, a Master of Science in Special Education with a focus on Learning Disabilities and Emotional-Behavioral Studies, a 6th-year degree in Educational Administration, and a Doctorate in Professional Studies, with concentrations in Clinical Psychology and Administration. She is also licensed in Elementary Education, K-12 Special Education for Mild-Severe Cognitive Disabilities, Emotional-Behavioral Disabilities, K-12 Principal, and Director of Special Education.
Throughout her career, Dr. Michelle Bethke-Kaliher has served in various roles, including as a K-12 Special Education Teacher, Elementary Education Teacher, Principal, and Director of Special Education. This extensive experience in the classroom and in leadership positions has provided her with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in education, particularly in the areas of special education and educational administration.
For the past 18 years, Dr. Michelle Bethke-Kaliher has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Crown College, where she has taught courses in Education and Psychology departments. This role has allowed Dr. Bethke-Kaliher to connect research in psychology with a Christian perspective, and to mentor students who are entering a variety of professional fields. Dr. Bethke-Kaliher finds great fulfillment in helping students build a strong academic foundation and in supporting them as they pursue careers in Psychology or other areas related to human services.
