Signing of PIEC Agreement

On April 26, 2010, Scott Moats, vice president of academic affairs for Crown College, signed a significant partnership agreement called the Professional Intercollegiate Education Center (PIEC) Partnership. This agreement brings together five partners in a unique opportunity to bring a range of healthcare-related training to the Owatonna region. One of the primary partners is the Owatonna Hospital. With the recent expansion of their physical plant, the hospital created educational space which includes three fully-equipped classrooms and a patient simulation lab. This space will be provided rent-free to each of the educational partners. * Workforce Development will provide pre-vocational healthcare academies and training ** Riverland Community College will provide a certified nursing assistant degree and an associate degree in nursing ** Crown College will provide the bachelor in science nursing (BSN) completion program ** Minnesota State-Mankato will provide a master?s in nursing *The mission of Crown College is to provide a biblically-based education for Christian leadership in The Christian and Missionary Alliance, the church at-large, and the world.
