Physical and Health Education Degree
Bachelor of Science (B.S.)
The Physical and Health Education major degree program is designed to prepare students for a public and private teaching career as a K-12 Physical and 5-12 Health Education teacher. Our Physical and Health Education Bachelor’s degree program in Minnesota is structured to meet the Minnesota Board of Teaching Physical Education licensure requirements. The student must be accepted into the Teacher Education Department and meet all of the requirements.
Students apply for the Teacher Education Department during Foundations of Education. Students will be required to take the MTLE Basic Skills tests as part of their application to the department. Students who graduate from the Teacher Education department are eligible to apply for a first-time full professional license. In order to do so, students will need to have passed the MTLE Basic Skills, Pedagogy and Content tests.
