Youth/Social Ministry, B.S.

The Youth and Social Ministry bachelor’s degree prepares students for careers in non-traditional ministry roles. Graduates may work on college and high school campuses, in teen agencies, at-risk restorative centers, with group homes, rescue missions and inner-city outreaches. The program equips students to work holistically with adolescent youth and other populations that are poor, hurting and hungry. During the final year of the program, students participate in a full-immersive ministry internship that provides on-site field practice in ministry.

Graduates of the Youth/Social Ministry program are prepared to pursue additional graduate work or pursue employment opportunities in restorative youth programs at local churches or in ministry organizations and community development programs. For those entering graduate school, courses of study typically include a master’s in social work, psychology, and/or drug & alcohol counseling in order to work in secular or para-church organizations.
