Law Enforcement, B.S.

The Law Enforcement Bachelor of Science degree is intended for students desiring a career as a police officer. The program consists of 33 technical law enforcement credits (18 academic course hours and 15 credit hours of skills training, and 92 credits of criminal justice and general education.

Upon successful completion of the law enforcement degree program, students in are eligible to take the Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) licensing exam and seek employment as police officers in the state of Minnesota. The program goals are that students will complete all necessary peace officer educational requirements (both academic and skills based) required by the state of Minnesota for POST certification.
