Crown College is pleased to announce Jon Erickson as the Director of Financial Aid. Jon comes to Crown from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN where he has also served as the Director of Financial Aid.
“Jon brings to Crown not only two decades of financial aid experience and expertise,” says Bruce Snyder, VP of Enrollment Management and Marketing, “he also shares our mission and is the individual we felt best qualified to help lead our anticipated growth. He’s a capable and proven leader.”
Mr. Erickson replaces Judy Bedford who has served as an interim Director of Financial Aid – coming out of retirement to assist the college with management of the financial aid department and participating in the search for a new director. Crown College president, Dr. Joel Wiggins says “Crown has been blessed with so many outstanding staff members and Judy is an exemplar of what it means to serve. We are grateful for the continuity she has provided in this department and the high level of service to our students.”
Erickson is a graduate of Bethel College and earned a Master of Arts in Management from St. Scholastica. He is also an active member in the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) and the Minnesota Association of Financial Aid Administrators (MAFAA). He and his wife Kim have two college-age children and plan to relocate to the area in late May.
