Castor to Join Christian Ministry Department
Posted July 21st, 2010
This fall, Ken Castor will be entering his first full-time teaching job at the college level, bringing with him a breadth of knowledge and real-world experience. While he was in college, Castor was able to study abroad in Israel at Jerusalem College, and since then has been involved with numerous missions trips, worked on-staff with Youth For Christ and InterVarsity, along with several churches across the U.S. and Canada, accumulating 20 years of experience with youth and young adults.Having received his B.A. from Taylor University, his M.Div. from Regent College, and a Doctorate of Ministry from ACTS Seminaries of Trinity Western University (Canada), Castor was most recently working with the young adult program at a church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. “My studies have been in generational transference of ministry leadership, and I use Psalm 78:1-7 as my foundation for that. Having worked in churches, I have a fresh perspective on what they are looking for most.” As he begins his time at Crown, Castor notes having an interest in teaching youth ministry students to be “integrated within the church,” so that they will be equipped with a whole-church mentality. He is passionate about working with local churches, and has already begun to network with The Christian & Missionary Alliance and other churches in the communities surrounding Crown.Ken and his wife, Kathy, are currently having a home built near Prior Lake, Minn., as they transition back to the states from Canada. They have three children, ages 4, 8 and 11.The mission of Crown College is to provide a biblically-based education for Christian leadership in The Christian and Missionary Alliance, the church at-large, and the world. An education that you can be proud of is within your reach, and now is the perfect time to apply for the fall 2010 semester. Our admissions team is ready to assist you at (800) 68-CROWN.
