Have you been wondering if we’re holding Commencement this year? The answer is YES we are!
We are hosting an in-person Commencement ceremony on the Crown campus. While it may look a bit different due to COVID protocols and restrictions, we are excited to celebrate our graduates from both the Class of 2020 and 2021 and to be able to welcome their guests to campus.
We are holding two services on Saturday, May 15, 2021, in Crown’s Old National Bank Stadium (rain or shine). The School of Online Studies & Graduate School ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. and the School of Arts & Sciences ceremony will be at 2:00 p.m. Everyone will be required to wear face masks or shields and follow the social distancing protocols. Guests must have a ticket to enter the stadium, and seats will be assigned. Graduates have the opportunity to reserve 2 tickets for their guests.
Because of COVID capacity restrictions, attendance is limited to graduates, their 2 guests, and ceremony participants. Only those faculty with a role in the service will be participating. However, both services will be live-streamed. Graduation information and the Livestream link can be found at www.crown.edu/graduation. Of course, in this day and age, anything can change at any time, so check that page for updates as we get closer to May.
We are looking for volunteers to help with this exciting event. This is a great way for you to be able to see the graduates and the service live. We are still determining specific roles, but they will include ushers, greeters, ticket takers, graduate/guest check-in staff, etc. Please let me know if you are interested in helping at one or both of the services.
We are looking forward to a great day of celebration and giving thanks to God for His many blessings.
