Jeff’s path to Crown, like most of our students, was special. He served in the military, the corporate world and he was even a golf pro. Just like our students, Jeff’s Crown experience has enriched his life.

Jeff, what is your favorite thing about working at Crown College?
“The people; never have I worked in such a friendly, comfortable and spiritual setting. Everyone you come in contact with on a daily basis is kind, caring and compassionate. We all work hard for our students and for each other, because we know we are bringing others and ourselves closer to Christ.”

What do you enjoy most in life?
“In my spare time, I enjoy throwing bean bags or barbecuing with friends and family . I also enjoy several other outdoor activities such as motorcycling, hiking, camping and golf. During the winter, I enjoy playing in dart and pool leagues”.

What did you do before working at Crown?
“Before coming to work at Crown, I was in the property management field. I also have prior experience as a golf professional, retail manager, automobile service and repair technician and the military. All of these experiences were stepping stones strategically placed before me by God, en route to my greater calling here at Crown College.”

heath-davisHeath Davis

Certificate in Biblical Studies, Wisconsin Wilderness Campus of Cairn University-Cable, WI

B.S. Secondary Education, Social Studies and Bible, Cairn University-Langhorne, PA

Ordained Pastor of the Wesleyan Church- Marion IN, 2005

M.A. Human Development with an emphasis in Spiritual and Community Formation, St. Mary’s University of MN-Minneapolis, MN (current)

Heath, what is your favorite thing about working at Crown College?
“I have a passion to see the Church make disciples. The Church can only adequately equip people to follow Jesus when they understand God’s Word and take it seriously. I love that Crown is unapologetically biblical, and at the same time deeply personal helping each person really live out the words of Jesus”.

What do you enjoy most in life?
“I love hanging with my family and friends, biking, fly fishing and helping people grow in their understanding of the kingdom”.

What did you do before working at Crown?
“Before coming to work at Crown, I spend five years teaching and growing leaders in an innovative collegiate setting. And, over the past twelve years I have served as Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Hayward Wesleyan Church in Hayward, WI. Serving in my present role is exciting because many of the prospective students that I speak with are kindred spirits who have a passion for God and people, and whom God is calling into the ministry”.

B.A. Strategic Communication, Crown College Online – St. Bonifacius, MN

M.A. Christian Studies, Crown College Online – St. Bonifacius, MN (current)

Church Planter

Mark, what is your favorite thing about working at Crown College?
“After being a student here for six years, I knew I wanted to work for Crown.  Not only is the education solid and Christ-centered, it is administered by people who demonstrate a vital relationship with God and a sincere desire to help their students grow.  That was a combination I could not ignore, and had to be a part of.”

What do you enjoy most in life?
“I am a huge family man, so my first passion outside of my own walk with God is spending time with my wife and four children.  I enjoy reading, disc golf, rock climbing, and collecting old comic books.  Still, I find myself most fully alive when I am in God’s Word and in God’s presence, so teaching and ministry are two of my favorite things.”

What did you do before working at Crown?
“I’ve been in the ministry for around 30 years, serving in various roles from usher, to Youth Leader, to Lead Pastor.  In small churches you tend to wear many hats!  Still, most of my years in ministry has been volunteer work, and so like Paul, I’ve been a tent maker on the side.  For me, that took the form of pest control for many years, though my most recent assignments before Crown were in route sales and staff management.”

What makes Crown College different from other online schools?

I believe there are three distinctions that help Crown College standout in the crowd of online schools. Number one is our customer service. Each person, whether in support of or directly involved with the students goes above and beyond to make sure that students’ journeys are smooth and successful. Number two is our faith integrated curriculum. We believe it to be imperative to include the bible and theology in all of our courses. Lastly is our commitment. We take pride in being thorough with our processes and helping the student through enrollment and beyond. The students we enroll are more to us than just numbers; they are brothers and sisters in Christ.
