Take students beyond history.

There are plenty of complex topics in subjects like government, geography and culture, so it’s important that students have confident teachers to simplify and communicate ideas effectively. Our teacher education department is dedicated to raising up leaders with powerful interpersonal skills, a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and professional disposition. Together we can raise up a generation of world changers.

I have the opportunity to not just be in a caring community, but a community that fosters the same values and faith. There are so many different perspectives here from students and professors, and it creates so many opportunities to grow.

Being at Crown makes you want to stay at Crown for the rest of your life; but being at Crown also gets you excited for what God is preparing you to do after college, too.

TED Tips is a chance for senior teacher education majors to explore different aspects of pedagogy in the classroom. Seniors present their findings of what worked, what did not and how it will affect the way they teach in their future classroom. This is an excellent opportunity to find practical ways to improve the classroom environment while enjoying a tasty dessert!

Mentoring Opportunities

Learning in the classroom is one of the core ways that you can grow as a person. However, we believe classrooms can only go so far. That is why each student has the opportunity to connect with a faculty or staff member to talk about class, life, and Jesus. Because learning is more than just knowledge, it is experiencing life-changing relationships.
