George Gianoulis

Department: Bible and Theology

What are the main classes you teach at Crown? Greek I&II, Greek for Ministry, Romans, Galatians, Gospel of John

Before Crown, what did you do? I have served as assistant pastor of two churches in Chicago while doing graduate work.

Your Testimony? A Christian & Missionary Alliance pastor’s wife took a special interest in the Greek community in Minneapolis. She started a Bible study for women. It was eventually through that contact that my parents and I came to Christ.

Favorite Bible verse and why? My favorite verse is Psalm 73:28. The verse expresses the aspiration of my life and helps keep in perspective what is of upmost importance.

Hobbies, Interests, Affiliations? I enjoy physical fitness and working on cars/minor car restorations.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at Crown? Working with students has been the real plus for me. I enjoy the interaction and the opportunity to share scripture with them. Also, I appreciate all the fine people who make up the Crown College community.

How do you define "Academic Excellence?" To be able to think in a Christian manner and to have the tools necessary to make an impact in one’s vocation and life for the kingdom of God.

From a career standpoint, what will students be prepared to do with a degree from your program? Our program is designed for those thinking about a seminary education.

What would you say to parents of prospective students about having their son/daughter at Crown? Both of my daughters graduated from Crown College and had a fine learning experience.
