How Your Program Is Unique Here:
I am attempting to raise-up professional students who are leaders in their field of study. Individuals who have the latest skills and best education supported by both research and Christian Doctrine.
From A Career Standpoint, What Students Will Be Prepared To Do With A Degree From Your Program:
My students will be prepared to face the current and upcoming challenges related to the field of education. They will be able to successfully fulfill both their calling and dream to impact others through teaching. They will work to change the world one student at a time.
I am a big proponent of Vacation Bible School as I was saved during a VBS program when I was in 1st grade. From that point on my life has had a purpose, to serve our Lord in whatever capacity He deems necessary.
Favorite Bible Verse and Why:
Psalm 139. Shows the depth of love and watchful care the Lord has over us in all situations we may face in life.
Before Crown College I was employed as a school psychologist and special education administrator. I was also a bi-vocational pastor.
What You Enjoy Most About Teaching at Crown:
Crown College provides me with the unique opportunity to integrate my faith into my teaching. As we study various topics in education and psychology we identify and discuss the deeper underlying Biblical principles at work. I also enjoy the students here at Crown. Our students are deeply committed to higher level of standards in the Lord, to each other, and the greater Crown community.
How You Define “Academic Excellence”:
Academic excellence means using the latest research and data to always be moving above and beyond in your field of study. This requires an understanding of how your theory and practice meet at the ground level of integration and implementation. Academic excellence will be measured in the application of your knowledge in impacting the world starting at your own back door.
What You Would Say to Parents of Prospective Students About Having Their Son/Daughter at Crown:
I feel confident enough in the college, faculty, staff, and student body that this is where my own children will go when they are old enough to attend college.
