Why Biological + Health Sciences at Crown College?
Crown’s Department of Biological and Health Sciences in Minnesota encourages young men and women to examine God’s creation from a Biblical perspective, in order to integrate their professional and vocational goals with ministry and service. Our Christ-centered professors are committed to helping students grow in their relationship with the Lord as they discover His unique calling for them in the sciences. In doing so, our faculty nurture students’ spiritual and academic growth.
Our math and science college in Minnesota provides an academically rigorous curriculum within the mathematics and science degree programs. Students receive a Christian worldview of these disciplines. For example, students don’t simply study ecology, but ecology from the perspective of how we can be stewards of God’s creation. Students also complete Crown’s required 30 hours of Christian studies. This holistic approach produces graduates of high integrity and sound ethics, who are well prepared to teach, work in the field or continue on to graduate school.
Students are welcome to customize their degree program in preparation for future work or educational goals. Through their careful selection of electives, students become equipped to pursue graduate work in research, medical school, veterinary school or field biology. They may also prepare themselves for positions in state or federal agencies, or other related areas.
