General/Liberal Studies B.S.
Wherever you are in the process of earning a bachelor’s degree, Crown’s personalized, Christ-centered B.S. in General/Liberal Studies will get you there. It’s an accredited, online degree designed to fit you.
Transfer students are welcome to apply their existing credits, regardless of academic discipline, toward a degree plan that works for them. Juniors and seniors wishing to change their major without starting over can complete their studies at Crown. Freshman unsure about an area of concentration can explore multiple disciplines, graduating with broad academic experience in the liberal arts.
Our online General and Liberal Studies degree program requires a portfolio project as a capstone course, through which you explore the ways in which your Christian-focused education can help you achieve your career goals. Each student tailors the portfolio to his or her own objectives and outcomes. Tuition is priced competitively lower than similar accredited institutions. In fact, 98 percent of Crown’s students received student loans, scholarships or financial aid.
Through the five required Christian Studies or Humanities courses, you will analyze biblical sources to obtain truth and engage in Christ-centered critical thinking about the Scriptures and theological issues. Our hope is that through these courses each student is able to demonstrate a transformational Christian living experience that leaves them at a new point on their faith journey.
“A B.S. in General/Liberal Studies from Crown tells the world you’ve mastered the core outcomes of a college bachelor’s degree, and developed skills essential to professional success and lifelong learning.” -Dr. Fawn McCracken, Associate Dean of the School of Online Studies and Graduate School

An Affordable Online College Education.
Earning your degree online makes sense. It’s convenient and provides an invaluable advantage to your future success. And at Crown College, it’s affordable. Crown is one of the 10 most affordable Christian colleges in the Midwest. With 98 percent of our students receiving some form of financial aid, we will work with you to figure out the best financial aid package available.
Financial aid is funding made available by the federal government, state government, private entities and Crown. Crown College’s School of Online Studies and Graduate School programs participate in the Federal Pell Grant, Minnesota State Grant and Federal Direct Stafford Loans to help finance your education.
Most financial aid is awarded on the basis of need. The first step is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is the government form used to help assess a family’s financial strength. Crown’s school code for FAFSA is: 002383. Students must apply for financial aid each year to be considered for funding.
