NEW! Earn your B.S. and M.A. at the Same Time with Crown’s Accelerated Degree Option

Now, Crown College students can greatly reduce the time and money required to prepare for ministry. With Crown’s new online 4 + 1 program you can earn an M.A. in Christian Studies by adding one year of study to your B.S. in Christian Ministry degree program.  Students transferring in with 60 credits may be able to complete both degrees in as little as three years. Those beginning the program with no earned credits can complete both their BS and MA degrees in five years. Not only does this help accelerate your ministry; it’s great stewardship of resources because it can save up to $8,000 in tuition costs.

Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry

Graduates of Crown’s online B. S. in Christian Ministry program are prepared to serve – as leaders in local churches, missions agencies, and social service organizations throughout the U.S. and around the world.  We seek to train leaders who are:

  • Dedicated to cultivating a personal love for God and demonstrating Christ-like character.
  • Able to teach the Word of God and make leadership decisions based on sound theology.
  • Committed to making disciples who will make other disciples.
  • Equipped to minister in a diverse and global environment.

The B.S. in Christian Ministry begins with a strong core in biblical and theological studies.  Coursework includes practical skills in communications and the management and administration of faith-based organizations.  Leadership, evangelism, counseling and discipleship are also essential components of the online learning curriculum.

Four senior classes—Human Development and Discipleship, Ministry Management and Administration, Ministry Communications, and Life of the Ministry Leader—incorporate internship components. Students work with local mentors at a church or other faith-based organization to observe, engage in, and reflect on practical ministry experiences.

Crown’s partnerships with organizations like Prepare/Enrich, a Christian relationship skill-building program, allow students to become certified in pre-marital and marital counseling while earning their B.S.  The coursework also includes collaborative activities that mirror real-life situations. By constructing knowledge with peers within Crown’s digital environment, students acquire life skills in collaboration that are critical to professional success.
