Physical Education Degree

Bachelor of Science (BS)

The Physical Education major is designed to prepare students for a public and private teaching career as a K-12 Physical Education teacher. This degree program is structured to meet the Minnesota Board of Teaching Physical Education licensure requirements. The student must be accepted into the Teacher Education Department and meet all of the requirements.

Students apply for the Teacher Education Department during Foundations of Education. Students will be required to take the MTLE Basic Skills tests as part of their application to the department. Students who graduate from the Teacher Education department are eligible to apply for a first-time full professional license. In order to do so, students will need to have passed the MTLE Basic Skills, Pedagogy and Content tests.

At Crown College, well over 90% of our new graduates are employed or continuing their education in a master’s degree program.

The Office of Career Development at Crown is here to help you with your future career and can assist with resume development, career counseling, internships, and job placement. We encourage you to visit the office during your first year to begin planning your internship opportunities as well as developing a professional network.
