Associate of Arts in Music (AA)
The associate’s degree in music provides students with foundational understanding and skills, in preparation for further education for such professions as church ministry, teaching, music and music therapy. Students receive comprehensive musical training. They acquire cross-cultural sensitivity in order to work with Christ’s disciples across the globe. Students also deepen their understanding of theory, music history and performance in the two-year degree.

Music (A.A.) Courses
1 Select humanities electives from COM, ENG, ESL, FAR, HIS, HUM, LAN, MUS, PHI, or PRC.
2 Select social science elective from ANT, CSJ, ECO, ESL, GEO, HIS, POL, PSY, or SOC.
3 Fine arts courses include music, art, drama, and dance. COM 328 also qualifies as a fine arts elective. (Only three credits of music organizations and/or lessons can be counted toward humanities/fine arts requirements.)
4 Students earning an A.A. in Music must complete four (4) satisfactory semesters of Music Hour. Transfer students must complete a Music Hour credit for every semester enrolled in the Music Department at Crown College.
* Some courses in the Music concentration may be used to fulfill Humanities or Fine Arts Electives as part of the General Education Core.
