The Welcome Weekend staff is excited for you to arrive! They have been busy preparing and working on Welcome Weekend since April. They have been praying for you, shopping up a storm, practicing the extravaganza, and getting things set for your arrival.
August 25 - You are welcome to attend the day’s NSRD (New Student Registration Day) events with your child. Students attend NSRD will check-in and move in from 9:00-11:00 a.m. that day.
August 26 - Students who are already registered arrive, check-in and move in on Friday the 26th. Begin the day by helping move your child into their new room. Join us for lunch and hear what will be happening during Welcome Weekend, as well as meet some of the student development staff. Later on, we have a panel of experts from around campus that will answer any and all of the questions you may have. There is also a time where you and some new Crown students will have an opportunity to talk about the transition of beginning college. This will be a great chance to hear what your child may be feeling or thinking about the transition of leaving home and beginning college. We close that evening with a worship and commissioning service. This is a highlight of Welcome Weekend and a great chance to hear from President Mann about the spiritual life at Crown.
