The mission of the Crown College Nursing Department is to provide a strong, biblically based nursing education for the purpose of preparing Christian men and women for service to the community, the church at large, and the world.  Building upon the history of missionary nursing at Crown College and The Christian and Missionary Alliance, this new program seeks to prepare competent nursing professionals who can practice Christian caring in a variety of cultures around the world.

Courses in the nursing program require students to spend substantial time in off-campus clinical settings such as hospitals, clinics and public health agencies. Crown's state-of-the-art nursing lab gives students the chance to sharpen their skills with the most up-to-date tools prior to heading into the field.  Additionally, through online assignments and discussions, nursing students learn to collaborate and have increased access to learning resources.

The BSN is a degree that prepares students for many fantastic opportunities.  This can be everything from being a flight nurse to a missionary in the Congo.  BSNs functions in government, leadership, schools, and beyond.  At the bedsides, the BSN helps the nurse develop a level of critical thinking that has been statistically proven to enhance the quality of patient care.  Hands down, the BSN is the key to a career where the sky is truly the limit.

The Crown nursing program is based on the guiding principle that we can demonstrate healing compassion as the hands and feet of Christ.  Nurses impact so many lives in so many ways from the bedside to key leadership roles in community and beyond.  It is truly a blessing to the world when a person answers his or her call to a nursing career.
