Biography

I'm Lori Carlblom and as Director of the Study Lab, I supervise a staff of 6 highly qualified student tutors. They each work anywhere from 4-10 hours a week. The lab is open Monday through Thursday from 2-5:30 PM and Monday and Wednesday nights. I also serve as the Director of Disability Services. Crown complies with the provisions of the MN Human Rights Act, which ensures that students with either physical or learning disabilities find success through reasonable accommodations. Accommodations could include private and longer testing times, note-takers, and books on CD. The third part of my job involves international students. Their paperwork is done online through SEVIS, a US Immigration web site. These students must keep in compliance with US regulations while finishing their degree program.

Testimony

I was raised in an Alliance minister's home and at an early age gave my life to Christ. The impact of Christian summer camps was especially significant in my teen years. I can testify to God's grace and faithfulness to me and my family over the many years since then. It is a privilege to teach at a Christian college where I am often encouraged in my faith by the testimonies of my students.
