Biography

I live in Victoria, Minnesota, with my husband and two children. My husband and I met when I began my first teaching position as a 6th grade middle school teacher at Valley View Middle School in Edina, Minnesota. When we started a family, I left Valley View to give my full attention to all the blessings of motherhood. I continued to keep my toes wet in the world of teaching as I tutored and substituted in local schools. Once my children were of school age, I returned to full time teaching at Chapel Hill Academy in Chanhassen, Minnesota. I taught 5th grade for several years but knew early on that God had plans for me in teacher preparation at a Christian institution. After I obtained a Master of Arts in Education degree, the Lord led me to Crown College which has been such a blessing. Recently, I completed a K-12 Administrative Certificate which provided a whole new perspective that will enrich the courses I teach at Crown. I am excited to continue on the path God has put before me and am honored to be His servant in preparing future teachers.

Testimony

It is my passion to inspire and equip future teachers as they prepare for a future in education. God has placed a calling on my heart to help develop Christian educators in order to share the love of Christ in public, private, or oveseas settings. At the same time, the Lord calls us to excellence by providing preparation with the best, most current pedagogical practices for students in our Teacher Education Department. It is my privilege to have the opportunity to glorify God by helping students make a difference in the lives of children and by contributing to this wonderful profession.
