Biography
"I have enjoyed many performance and teaching experiences over the past ten years. I studied voice with Schubert Club's 2001 Teacher of the Year, Carol Eikum, at Northwestern College in St. Paul, where I also participated in both theatre and music department productions. After my undergraduate education, I received my Master's in Vocal Performance at DePaul University where I studied with Metropolitan Opera Artist, Susanne Mentzer. I performed with DePaul Opera Theatre where I played the title roles in Bizet's Carmen and Mozart's Idomeneo. Other roles have included Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, and L'ecureuil in L'enfant et les sortileges. Locally I have performed with The Minnesota Opera in their productions of La donna del lago, Lakme, and the U.S. premiere of the German baroque opera, The Fortunes of King Croessus.
I am an active member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association where I have served on the 2008 Convention Committee. This past spring I taught German and French Diction in the Crown College Music Department. I live in St. Paul with my husband Nate and maintain a private music studio in my home.
