About the Christian Ministry Department
When you join the Christian Ministry department at Crown College, you will be equipped to make disciples of all age groups. The mandate of all Christian ministry is given in our Lord's closing words to his followers "to make disciples" (Matthew 28:19,20). At Crown College, we teach you both to grow in your own discipleship and how to make disciples of others. We believe that the core ministry skill is to disciple--a one-on-one organic activity of investing your life into the lives of others. Discipleship is more than concepts learned, it is a life transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. At Crown, we will equip you to form your identity in Christ, to identify your talents and gifts, and to engage in a life-long ministry of reproducing Christ in others. Our classroom experiences include instruction as well as practical experience. At the heart of each of our five majors is a half-year internship where each student serves full-time alongside an experienced mentor in ministry. Crown is the only school that allows you this extended, in-depth opportunity. Whether in the United States or abroad, students get hands-on experience in real-life ministry settings.
Why Choose Christian Ministry?
You have already come this far in your faith; we want to help you take the next step. Through our formal studies, practical training and internship, we’ll help you become an effective servant for Christ. As you develop your personal and spiritual life in a community of faith and learning, you will learn what it looks like to represent Christ in the world. Our professors are motivated, qualified Christian leaders with backgrounds in disciple-making and Christian ministry. They take personal interest in their students and the small faculty-to-student ratio will enable you to interact and engage with them one-to-one as they guide you in your studies.
