I always had the dream of one day starting my own magazine. While searching for internship opportunities, I found Alive Magazine, which fit the dreams I had envisioned for my own publication.
Alive, a magazine "by young women, for young women", matched so perfectly with what I wanted to do, just like Crown. My internship matched the same skills I need in the classroom, and the relationships I have with my professors are important because they have a lot of experience in their field and know what I’m going into.
The time I spent in the classroom and at my internship gave me the creative and dynamic environments I needed to grow in my skills and leadership. I knew I was capable, but I didn’t think other people thought I was. I’ve realized who I am and how I can be a leader in my own way, even in new environments. I appreciate the opportunity Crown has given me.
