Senior
Hometown: Chinook, Montana
Degree: Education
During my practicum in a senior high classroom, I was reminded that I chose a profession where I can make a difference and have a positive impact in students’ lives.
It didn’t take much convincing for me to pursue an Education degree—I have a strong family history of teachers, including both parents and three uncles. The most valuable aspect of Crown’s education program has been getting into the classroom to teach. My professors display a passion for kids and for the public school. Through field experiences, classes like Educational Psychology, and practicum, I have the chance to get into the classroom earlier in my education at Crown than I would have at another school.
I also wanted to play football in a Christian environment, so I transferred to Crown from a Montana university. The football program here focuses on getting your degree first; it’s much different than playing at a state school.
