Funding Your Education
Crown College seeks to offer competitive scholarships to international student applicants. However, the College's Financial Aid Office will only be able to supply a portion of the necessary funding to experience a college education at Crown. Students are encouraged to consider all financial obligations (such as medical insurance, transportation to/from Crown, etc.) when making their application.
Strict United States Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) laws require us to verify the ability of international students to pay all tuition and living expenses for the time they are studying in the US. Therefore, all international student applicants are required to submit the Financial Support Form. Contact the Admissions Office for more information.
International Student Grant
Crown College offers international students an International Student Grant (ISG). The purpose of the ISG program is to assist students who are ineligible for federal, state, and private grants in the United States. The criteria includes the following:
- All international students will receive a grant for the lesser of 30% off tuition or $4,000. The 30% calculation applies only to tuition; it does not apply to room and board, fees, books, living expenses, or any other costs.
- Recipients of the International Student Grant must be enrolled as full-time day students (12 credits per semester minimum.)
- U.S. citizens whose families reside abroad are not eligible for the International Student Grant. These students are eligible to apply for federal, state - as appropriate, and institutional grants, scholarships, and loans.
- Students having dual citizenship (i.e. Canadian and American) are considered U.S. citizens. These students are not eligible for the International Student Grant. They are eligible to apply for federal aid as well as other institutional grants and scholarships.
Financial Aid
In addition to the International Student Grant, students may apply for and receive any of the following institutional scholarships, grants or loans for which they are eligible.
- The Crown Scholarship is based on academic achievements as indicated by TOEFL test scores and the transcript evaluation. The application is included in the admission packet.
- Music Scholarship applications can be obtained from the Crown College Music office. Auditions may be performed in person or by video or audio tape. Auditions are held from January to March of the year students plan to enroll.
- Church Matching Scholarship information can be obtained from the Financial Aid office.
Submit your transcript(s) to EEI (Education Evaluators International, Inc.) for evaluation. To obtain a EEI evaluation application, contact the Crown College Admissions Office. A $200 fee must accompany the EEI application.
- The Financial Aid office has an alternative loan that international students may apply for, but the student must have a U.S. citizen with a permanent U.S. address to co-sign. College personnel may not co-sign for this loan.
