Crown Nursing CCNE Accredited

Attesting to the continued value of its staff, program and educational goals, Crown’s Nursing Department received accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education(CCNE) this week.

The accreditation works to accomplish five general purposes, including ‘to evaluate the success of a nursing education program in achieving its mission, goals, and outcomes’ (CCNE website).

“We got the maximum number of years that can be awarded a new program,” said Tim Bristol, director of nursing. “We are very grateful for the team work involved.”

As a nongovernmental peer review process that operates in accordance with nationally recognized standards, the CCNE accreditation ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate and graduate education programs preparing effective nurses.
