CCNE Visit is Complete
Tim Bristol, Director of Nursing
The team visitors for our CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accreditation process have completed their evaluation. These visitors brought decades of experience in nursing education to our campus for 3 short days and we are very grateful for their consultation and input. They complimented Crown on how well students and faculty in the nursing department live out the faith and mission that we hold dear. They noted that our students are very engaged at many levels and commented on how blessed Crown is to have individuals such these in the program. The accreditors were impressed with the level of detail with which the faculty maintain and implement the curriculum. They were also impressed with the level of collaboration and collegiality that Crown has with the community for such a new program.
The accreditation team reports that we have met the standards for accreditation set by the CCNE. The team will report this to the Accreditation Review Committee in Washington, D.C., who will render a final decision in April of 2008. We are very grateful that God brought this nursing program to Crown and look forward to many years of serving Christ together. Thank you to all who have made this possible.
