My hopes for the Congo… what a list, where to start? The needs of the people in the Congo are innumerable and more complex than I may ever be able to comprehend. If I were to list the things that I would like to see happen in the Democratic Republic of Congo I would start with the things that would have the biggest impact on the people that I got to know while over there.

Digna is 34 years old. Four years ago she was working in a nice job as an Executive Assistant to a wealthy businessman in the city. Her brother was this man’s chauffeur. After work one day it was raining and her brother asked if he could give her a ride home, less than two blocks away. She said yes and that decision changed her life forever.
