Biography

I teach courses in pastoral leadership, preaching, evangelism and discipleship at Crown. Prior to coming to Crown, I was engaged in pastoral ministry in Michigan, and since coming to Crown have enjoyed serving a number of churches as interim pastor. I am ordained with The Christian & Missionary Alliance. My wife, Debra, and I are celebrating thirty years of marriage this year and God has blessed us with four children. Aaron is married to Nikki, and they have one son, Samuel. We also have three daughters, Lauren, Danielle and Abigail. For fun, we like playing with our puppy, going for walks, kayaking and bicycling.

Testimony

I came to faith in Christ at a young age, but it was my High School youth group and summer camp where I made my parents' faith my own. I realized that a life spent for myself would never satisfy, only a life lived for Christ would be worth living. Following Christ is an amazing adventure - He has a way of taking anything life throws at me and using it for His good. As I look back at all the mistakes I've made, I marvel at His faithfulness. The life I live is "in spite of me" and "because of Him."
