Biography

I am in my 20th year of teaching Math in higher education, although my journey at Crown just began in the Fall of '07. I currently teach Math Survey, College Algebra, Consumer Math, Calculus and Statistics, and am excited to get our Math Education program up and running. I teach in both the traditional program and the AGS program. In addition, I am approaching the completion of my Ph.D. degree. I live with my husband (of 25 years) in Delano. We have two daughters; Brittany is 23 and Bethany is 19. We enjoy a few months of empty nesting during the year, but love it when everyone is home during the summer. I serve on the Board of Directors of Love, INC (In the Name of Christ) which is an organization that unifies the local churches to reach brothers and sisters in need. In my spare time, I love to read and my husband and I play golf whenever possible.

Testimony

I grew up in a strong Christian family, surrounded by the love of my parents and sister. I made my own personal commitment to Christ when I was in 7th grade. Over the years, it has been enlightening to see God's hand in my life and how He he weaves people and circumstances together to strengthen and shape me into the person He created me to be.
