JD Williams Scholarship Program

JD Williams Scholarship Day

Named after the founder of Crown College, this unique invitation-only event is an opportunity for the highest caliber high school seniors to compete for Crown’s two premier scholarships: The JD Williams Scholarship (2 awards at $17,500 per year) or Department Scholarships (10 awards at $12,500 per year).

This highly competitive event features departmental meetings/interviews with faculty members, a catered lunch with a keynote address, participation in mock classes led by Honors Faculty, chapel, a pizza party and free admission to Crown Basketball games in the evening.

Process:

Honors Program Faculty have prepared three questions, which will be provided with the invitation. An essay response to one of the questions (300-600 words, 2 page maximum) is required to attend the event. To be considered for the opportunity of interviewing for the JD Williams Scholarship, a student must also submit an additional 1-2 minute video response to one of the other questions.
