Music Associates of Arts Degree Overview
The Associate's of Arts in Music provides basic understanding and skill in music. Curriculum information is listed under the Teachers Education department. It is designed as a foundation for a bachelor’s degree, leading to degrees in such fields as teaching, church ministry, performance, and music therapy. All credits will apply to the bachelor’s music degree at Crown College.
Music Department
Music at Crown College has a long and successful heritage. Based on the philosophy of “excellence in all things,” all music is rehearsed and performed to the glory of God. The purpose of the Music Department is to prepare men and women to become music educators in public and private schools, to train up competent and effective worship leaders, and to lay a strong foundation for future musical studies.
Students receive a comprehensive musical training, gain an aesthetic sensitivity, and develop a striving toward musical excellence. Students also gain professional experience through student teaching, church music practice, student ministries, and recitals.
