General Studies (B.S)
Bachelor's of Science
The General Studies B.S. is perhaps the most flexible major at Crown College. Designed to fully prepare young men and women for graduate school, the General Studies B.S. was developed after close examination of graduate school curricula and requirements, to ensure students obtain all the prerequisites necessary to succeed. The General Studies B.S. also provides students with an excellent foundation for success in a variety of professional fields.
In addition to the Christian studies core, students receive 54 hours of electives so they can customize their area of interest in preparation for graduate school. Students are also welcome to investigate multiple fields of possible study in order to broaden their undergraduate experience while discovering an area of study for graduate school.
Through the General Studies B.S., students gain a broad knowledge base, improve their written and communication skills, develop critical thinking and practical problem solving abilities, and integrate their Christian faith with their academic studies. The major is particularly helpful for transfer students with a variety of prior credits or for new students with a wide range of possible major interests.
