Bachelor of Arts in Communication Overview
This Communications degree program is designed to prepare students who anticipate a career in written, verbal, relational, or media communication. Students work with an academic advisor to select a concentration and communication electives that will help them to achieve their vocational goals. The completion of the core in Christian studies will enable students to think critically about the application of biblical principles to the field of communication.
Excellent character prepares for an excellent performance.
The Communication Department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree which allows students to choose from one of four concentrations:
- Advertising/Graphic Design
- Digital Arts
- Dramatic Arts
- Relational Communication
The Communication core lays a strong foundation, while the concentrations focus more in specific areas of interest. Four minors compliment any of the concentrations as well as majors from other departments.
Performance for the Christian artist may not always be innately religious, but it should always be God-honoring. When properly focused, these abilities can become effective tools to bring others to Christ.
With a B.A. in Communication Arts from Crown, students will be prepared to enter their chosen field or to continue their studies on a graduate level. This program is designed to accommodate students in Crown's Honors Program. All Crown students have access to several study-abroad programs where a full semester of course work may be transferred into their major.
