Financial Aid

There are several financial aid options for adult learners. Crown College’s Adult and Graduate Studies programs participates in Federal Pell Grant, Minnesota State Grant and Federal Stafford loans to help finance your education.

To begin the process, just fill out the federal government's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the government's means of determining what aid is available for you. It usually takes about two hours to fill out, but it is the essential first step to getting aid. Crown's Title IV school code is 002383. The FAFSA is available via the internet, through your local high school, public library, or the Crown Financial Aid office. After completing the FAFSA, our financial aid office will put together a custom financial aid package which will include federal and state grant and federal and state loan options.

Financial Aid Process

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  2. Apply for loans: We will be able to provide you options for low-interest federal loan called the Stafford Loan for higher education after you complete your FAFSA. Your admissions rep as well as financial aid office can assist you. If your Financial Aid Award Letter indicates that you are eligible for loans, you must complete the following:
    1. Loan Entrance Counseling
    2. Master Promissory Note
    3. Loan Request Form
  3. Apply for grants: Every year there is over one billion dollars of unclaimed grant money for college students.
  4. Apply for applicable scholarships:

About 30% of families are selected for verification of the information given on the FAFSA. If you are among those selected for verification, Crown's Financial Aid Office will contact you for more information.
