Financial Aid

Since a college education is one of the most important investments you can make in your future, Crown College is committed to helping you find ways to make your education affordable.  There are several options available to adult learners.  Crown College’s Adult and Graduate Studies programs participate in the Federal Pell Grant, Minnesota State Grant and Federal Direct Stafford Loans to help finance your education.

Financial Aid is funding which is made available by the federal government, state government, private entities and Crown College.  Most financial aid is awarded on the basis of need.  The first step is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  The FAFSA is the government form which is used to help assess a family’s financial strength.  Enter code 002383 for Crown to receive a copy of your FAFSA electronically.  Students must apply for financial aid each year to be considered for funding.

Financial Aid Application Process

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  2. Apply for loans: We will be able to provide you options for low-interest federal loan called the Stafford Loan for higher education after you complete your FAFSA. Your admissions rep as well as financial aid office can assist you. If your Financial Aid Award Letter indicates that you are eligible for loans, you must complete the following:
    1. Loan Entrance Counseling
    2. Master Promissory Note
    3. Loan Request Form
  3. Apply for grants: Your FAFSA is the application for state and Federal Grants and also helps determine your eligibility for loan funding.  Please review the available Scholarships and Grants.  If you qualify for one or more of these institutional grants, please follow the application instructions.
  4. Apply for applicable scholarships:

About 30% of families are selected for verification of the information given on the FAFSA. If you are among those selected for verification, Crown's Financial Aid Office will contact you for more information.
