Master of Arts

The Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership is designed to provide practical and applicable information that will increase the aptitude of the classroom teacher or school administrator and prepare the teacher for relicensing or recertification.

Objectives

The classroom teacher or school administrator will be able to:

  • Deliver transformational learning in diverse classrooms.
  • Lead the school in curriculum design.
  • Serve in a mentoring/coaching role in the context of individual instructional settings.
  • Evaluate local data to propose instructional or curricular changes.
  • Articulate and implement research-based curriculum decisions.

Admission Requirements

Applicants to the MA Instructional Leadership program must meet the general admissions requirements for a graduate program at Crown College.

  •  A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum 2.5 GPA, or,
  • The equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s level degree from an approved international college.
  • Prerequisite courses: 12 undergraduate semester credits of education and two years of full-time, licensed teaching experience.
