The Elementary Education degree leads to an Elementary Education Licensure with either a Pre-Primary or Middle School minor. The Minnesota Board of Teaching through the Minnesota Department of Education has approved these licensure programs. Students are required to take the Minnesota Teacher's Licensure Examination (MTLE) Basic Skills, before they can apply for entrance to the Teacher Education Department of Crown College.

Successful completion of the MTLE Basic Skills, Content Knowledge, and Pedagogy test are required for state licensure. Students who have completed this degree and have successfully completed the MTLE tests will be ready to teach in both public and private schools.
