The Early Childhood Education degree leads to an Early Childhood Licensure (birth - grade 3). Students are required to take the Minnesota Teacher's Licensure Examination (MTLE) before they can apply for entrance to the Teacher Education Department of Crown College. Successful completion of the MTLE Basic Skills, Content Knowledge, and Pedagogy tests are required for state licensure. This licensure program is approved by the Minnesota Department of Education.

Graduates of our early childhood education degree in Minnesota can receive the necessary credentials to teach in public and private schools as well as ECFE/Head Start programs, Montessori schools, child care facilities, pre-schools, and daycares.

Upon completion, graduates will be academically and spiritually prepared to pursue career opportunities as a classroom teacher, head teacher, or program/department lead.

1. Submit the Application for Admission with the $20 application fee. 

2. Email a copy of your current resume to ericksonn@crown.edu .

3. Submit an official transcript from all colleges attended.  Applicants must also request official transcripts from their high school (or equivalent) if they have taken less than 24 credits at the college level. For your convenience, transcript request forms .
