Education Benefit Information

You will receive a monthly stipend for personal use for up to 36 months. The total dollar amount of your benefits is determined by adding (1) your total contributions; (2) matching funds from VA equal to 2 times your contributions; and (3) any Department of Defense contributions or kickers. Your monthly stipend is based on the above total, the number of months you contributed, the type of training you're in, and your training time.

Veterans generally have up to 10 years to use their benefits although certain circumstances may shorten or lengthen the time limit.
