Teresa Newby is highly knowledgeable, skilled and enthusiastic about nursing and effectively prepares students to work in a variety of settings, including long-term and acute care. She enjoys walking with students in their faith journey and preparing students to serve around the world as Christian nurses. She states, “the small class sizes and emphasis on Christian studies allows for more meaningful interactions with students than other similar colleges.” Excellence, she believes, is associated with performance of the highest quality. To achieve academic excellence, Teresa is committed to coming along side her students and mentoring them toward greatness.
Prior to joining the Crown faculty, Teresa worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator for a major hospital (name?) and a Clinical Instructor at a college (name?). In addition to teaching at Crown College, Teresa is a staff educator at Ridgeview Medical Center and continues to maintain her certification in Inpatient Obstetrics and Trauma Nursing Care. She is a member of the Honor Society of Nursing through the University of Minnesota- Sigma Theta Tau.
