Jim Nichols, D.B.A.
Associate Professor of Business
Courses: Management; Social Entrepreneurship; Marketing; International Business
Education: B.S., Iowa State University; M.B.A., University of Dallas; D.B.A., Anderson University
Dr. Nichols intentionally integrates the Word into his course curriculum and works hard to see that business and ministry co-exist so students can make a tremendous impact in a lost world. He has a heart for students, and is “no-nonsense” when it comes to work - yet likes to have fun in class. According to Dr. Nichols, the best part of teaching is working with students and experiencing moments when the “light bulb” goes on. For Dr. Nichols, the hallmark of academic excellence is the ability to teach students to think critically about a problem and strategize potential solutions. Dr. Nichols mentors his students to not only see what the Lord is doing, but to engage with Him where He is doing Kingdom work.
Before joining the faculty team Dr. Nichols worked in the corporate sector for over 30 years, including domestic and international sales and marketing, small business ownership and corporate planning. Prior to launching his teaching profession, he spent 12 years as a small business owner serving the education and craft industries. He is a member of the American Management Association and the Christian Business Faculty Association.
